A unique
opportunity to run your own translation company and be a part of leading
group of translation companies. We will be offering a very limited
number of translation franchises per country, depending upon the size
and market of that country.
We believe in offering the
highest possible quality of service to all our customers. Rather than
just open new offices abroad, owning and controlling them from a far, we
believe that by offering franchises, the local office that has a vested
interest in its own success will provide a far better level of customer
service. It will also help us to sell our services to large corporate organizations
if we have offices around the world. It would also be a goal for these
offices to be able to provide work for us as preferred suppliers. The
local office will also find it easier to sell its services if they are
part of a worldwide group with offices all over the world.
Our expertise in the
market will be shared with you, ranging from project management and job
processing through to marketing. We
would maintain a market leading international internet site, promoting
our services. All business contacts from this would be passed to the
most local Technocom office. We will also aim to commission translation
work from you at an agreed freelance rate. Wherever possible we try to
get translation work performed in the country where the work is to be
used.
We will be licensing the
use of the Technocom name for five year periods for a small annual license
fee. This fee will vary depending on the size of the country and market costs.
Apart from setting up the
office, surprisingly little. This
is because at Technocom, we view this as an opportunity to set up a
global network of Technocom offices committed to the highest levels of
quality and service, rather than a corporate profit-making exercise.The annual license fee and
turnover percentage are designed to cover our administrative costs.
The annual license fee will
be set at different levels in each country to reflect the size and
market of your country.
Highly motivated people,
preferably with experience in the translation industry, wanting to own
and run their own business. Small existing translation companies wanting
to grow by linking into a larger group structure in order to sell their
services more easily. Freelance translators wanting to run their own
translation company.
There will be a minimum
equipment level consisting of an office equipped with a fax, email,
internet access, photocopier and PC running specified software. At
least one qualified translator will need to be employed or involved in
the business. With the exception of trade work to other translation
companies, you would not be allowed to perform work to corporate clients
in a country with another Technocom franchise in operation.
